Creating Outdoor Spaces As Functional As They Are Beautiful

Space for family

It energizes our team to transform a space designed for family use, to help elevate a beloved home – enriching it with beautiful native plants, meandering beds and an entrance it deserves. This memorable rural project offered just that. Partnering with brilliant clients, we worked together to update their gardens and hardscape to lean into that ‘wow’ factor their home already inspires. Planted heavily with native and pollinating plant material that tie into the naturalized surroundings and installing a clean-line walkway, accented with salvaged, weathered limestone, we know this space will be enjoyed for many gatherings – and years! – to come.

Elevating a summer getaway

A blank canvas can be so rewarding to work with. Our team worked hard to install a raised patio suitable for dining and lounging (with a pergola to follow) with a stunning native, specimen tulip tree for shade and visual interest for years to come.

The garden features serviceberries, firs, weigela, hydrangeas, lilac and a striking columnar oak. The project is gently lit for evening enjoyment, with sharp looking centennial brass fixtures.

Below-grade, the team installed drainage infrastructure to help move water where it needs to go and ensure this family space is optimally enjoyed by all – including our four-legged client!

A heritage garden moment

We have deep roots in the Oakville community, which is something we shared with the heritage home in this inspiring garden project. Our clients are avid, passionate gardeners with young children who want to enjoy the space as well. Our objective was to open the yard for activities, create flow, maintain site lines for supervision and enrich the beds with stunning plant material, textures, colours and seasonal interest.

It was a joy to hone our craft around this storied home and create a place for imagination, play, learning and relaxation.

Functionally beautiful

We like a garden rooted in beautiful design, but we LOVE a garden that’s functional, low-maintenance and extremely practical for those using it.

We partnered with a really special family (including two energetic dogs) renovating their backyard – creating lower-maintenance beds, improving grading and water management, introducing black-ebel flagstone, and finishing the areas around their existing deck and tree fort.

what’s old is new

We had a blast adapting this client’s existing design to make their garden flow, feel proportionate to their hardscape, and make use of the most beautiful plants available. When you’ve got alignment between great customers, engaging projects, and truly dedicated service – the results are remarkable.

Backyard retreat

This little dining space was custom designed, planted around, and tied into a mature garden we have had the opportunity to work on over a number of seasons. We were honoured to be able to create a space for the family to gather and make memories, and are especially fortunate to have had great clients such as these for whom our passionate team could bring it all to life.

romancing the stone

Sometimes making the most of your environment leads to the best results – this project was truly proof of that. A really fun one to work on right in the heart of Bronte, we made use of beautiful product and the aesthetics of a great surrounding community to produce a stunning result.
